NC RESA is the sponsor and host for the Newaygo County Regional Spelling Bee, a qualifying event for the Greater Grand Rapids Bee and the National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC. The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8 from public and private schools in Newaygo County. Schools must register with the Scripps organization to be able to participate. If you would like your school to participate, contact the main office at your school.

The Newaygo County Spelling Bee is held in February of each year.
