    Career-Tech Center

We are a Michigan Career Technical Education Center serving 11th and 12th grade students from area high schools. Students attend a 1/2-day session, either a.m. or p.m., to pursue specific career interests by developing job-specific skills. All credits earned apply toward high school graduation and often college credit is obtained as well. Personal counseling, employability skills, and job placement services are provided to students.

Students will have ready access to high-quality career and technical education, which is realistic in light of actual or anticipated opportunities for higher education and/or gainful employment and is consistent with the learners needs, interests, and abilities.

We also provide a 13th year opportunity for the previous year graduates from Newaygo County Schools.  Further information and applications for a 13th year may be obtained at the Newaygo County Career-Tech Center office.

  • ADMISSION

High school students must be enrolled through a high school in their area of residency prior to being admitted to a Center program. A schools-of-choice student may enroll through their schools-of-choice choice school. Contract your guidance counselor for information about career opportunities and training programs available at the Center. Contact us if you would like more information on programs we offer or to set up an appointment to tour our building.
