  • Jr. FIRST Lego League

For children ages six to nine, Jr. FIRST Lego League offers an introduction to technology, science, and engineering while adhering to the core principles of FIRST. For details on how Jr. FIRST Lego League works, please visit www.firstlegoleague.org.

Newaygo County RESA began sponsoring ten Jr. FIRST Lego League teams at schools around the county beginning fall 2009. Teachers or staff members who would like to coach a team may apply for supplies and materials from NC RESA.

Parents or students who would like to join a Jr. FIRST Lego League at their school should visit the school's front office or principal. Schools can even have multiple teams! If you would like to start your own team outside of school, see the guidelines on the official FIRST website.

    FIRST Lego League

A continuation and expansion of Jr. FLL, students ages nine to fourteen build and program Lego robots to perform specific tasks and to compete with other robots! NC RESA began sponsoring and supporting a pilot program at Newaygo Middle School in fall 2009. If you would like to bring FLL to your school or organization, please visit www.firstlegoleague.org website or contact NC RESA.
