    Newaygo County RESA and the local public school districts utilize the services of EDUStaff/Red Rover to employ and assign substitute teachers, and in some districts, substitute teacher aides/paraprofessionals.     Part of the application process includes attending a meeting/training session. Please refer to the EDUStaff website for a schedule of these virtual meetings which will be held through the end of December. Our hope is to return to in-person meetings beginning on January 1, 2021.     • Substitute Positions

      Salary Range:

      Substitute Teachers $90/day

      Substitute Paraprofessionals $11.52/hour

      Substitute Aides $11.25/hour

      Reports To: Individual Building Administrators  
      Terms: On call substitute    

      Substitute Teachers: Candidates must have at least 60 semester hours of satisfactory credit (grade ‘C’ or better) combined from one or more regionally accredited two- or four-year colleges or universities.

      Substitute Paraprofessionals and Aides: Candidates must have a high school diploma. 

      Essential Functions:

      Substitute Teachers: Follow teacher lesson plans to educate students in the teacher's absence.

      Substitute Paraprofessionals/Aides: Assist teacher in daily activities.
