Building Bridges Preschool collaborated with the Great Start Collaborative to host our November Family Literacy Night across multiple centers throughout the county!

Families enjoyed a magical Story Walk featuring Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? 🐻 After the walk, families participated in hands-on literacy activities designed to support early reading skills, promote language development, and encourage meaningful family engagement.
To make the night even more special, every child received their own copy of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? to take home and continue the love of reading. ❤️
Thank you to all the families who joined us and to our staff for creating such a warm and engaging experience. We look forward to more family events that strengthen our connections and support early literacy!

The AM Construction class helped this morning packing 290 bags to be delivered to families of our preschool students. Just in time for Thanksgiving, this bag includes stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce! A huge thank you for all those who made this happen for our students! Especially Heidi Wagenmaker, Katie Renouf and Stephanie Phillips who coordinated and ordered everything to make this happen!

The Newaygo County Career-Tech Center BPA officers want to thank the MSU Broad College of Business for the 2025 Fall Leadership Conference on October 21st. This was the team’s first conference that they’ve attended. They felt that the experience was fun and provided valuable information they will use within their chapter. The Officers are looking forward to future events they can attend to learn and grow their skills.

Crisis Intervention Training Held in Fremont
We were honored to host the Crisis Intervention Team introductory training yesterday, in partnership with the City of Fremont and the City of Newaygo Police Departments.
This collaborative initiative brings together law enforcement, mental health professionals, and community members to improve responses to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and reduce stigma. The training featured experts in mental health, law enforcement procedures, court systems, and homelessness, and concluded with group scenarios to apply what was learned.
We look forward to seeing this program grow and expand to further support the evolving needs of our community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this impactful day possible!

Ms. Dunn's AM Business Management students put their manager hats on today as they reviewed Customer Complaint Makeover's . They had to chose which "employee" they would keep or give a raise to as they reviewed the professional responses where they had to turn a negative customer complaint around while protecting the company's image. Many had new learning as they used Whiteboard to collaborate online to type what it looks like for traditional customer service vs. digital customer service.
